Waterproofing Works – By-Law Template

Work involving waterproofing must be approved by way of a special resolution passed at a general meeting of the owners corporation. This includes bathroom and laundry renovations. Where owners are taking on responsibility for the future repair and maintenance of new waterproofing, the owners corporation should put a by-law in place to record this new legal obligation. This template by-law allows owners corporations to keep a single record of all waterproofing work – without the need to register multiple by-laws. The by-law contains a schedule that can be added to each time an owner wants to carry out work that involves waterproofing.
