Description

Owners corporations (and their contractors) have the power to enter a lot in a strata scheme for the purpose of carrying out work on the common property or to investigate whether such work may be necessary. Some residents refuse to permit access. In that circumstance, it is necessary for the owners corporation to obtain an order from the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Orders are made under section 124 of the Strata Schemes Management Act. This document contains the template orders Amanda uses when making such applications for her clients. They are a starting point for your own set of orders, which should be specific to your building’s particular situation.
