Description
Communities are regularly frustrated by the length of time it takes a former strata manager to transfer their books and records to a newly appointed strata manager. This frustration is also felt by the new manager. This motion is the first step that should be taken on the path to legally recovering books and records from a former managing agent. It contains the wording set out in section 181, Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 (NSW). This wording can also form the basis of a letter to be issued by the new strata manager to the former. This motion has successfully been used by Amanda’s clients to regain control of their books and records.
