Description
This by-law delegates authority to the strata committee to approve certain types of renovation work on behalf of the Owners Corporation (per Section 110 of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015). It confirms the type of work that is “cosmetic work” and therefore does not require the approval of the Owners Corporation. It also confirms the types of major work which will require approval by way of separate by-law. The by-law sets out the standards applicable to work being carried out by lot owners, makes lot owners responsible for their work and affected common property and provides an indemnity to the Owners Corporation.
