There was mention of the AGM no longer has fixed time to have the mtg. I understood (I am in Canberra) that the AGM had to be within 3 months of end of financial yr?
Hi Chig, the old law (pre 30 November 2016) required AGMs to be held within two months of the anniversary of the first AGM. The current law – post 30 November 2016 – does not have this requirement. An AGM need only be held once in each financial year of the building. There are no requirements as to the time at which the AGM is to be held.
