Great discussion about knowledge of strata by sales agents. I have also found that buyers solicitors/conveyancers are culpable as well. I have rarely found a solicitor explain to a buyer what strata living means and especially what the by laws are and mean. For instance people buy a strata property and dont check whether they can keep an animal. (The sales agent may say a pet is allowed but the real answer lies in the by laws). Also its rare for a solicitors/conveyancers explain what the buyer is buying (ie lot property vs common property)
I agree with Mr Budniak comment. Buying in a Strata Scheme is very dangerous at the moment because most people do not know what they are buying,
Thanks Amanda!!
