This week, Reena and I are tackling some tricky topics:
- whether an owners corporation is responsible for paying the excess on a resident’s contents insurance claim
- can motions resolved at a meeting that is later adjourned be actioned?
- the interpretation of a strata management statement and
- how to determine the lot boundaries in pre-1974 schemes.

Hello Amanda & Rena, today’s podcast (171) was a most informative especially re balconies in pre 1974 Strata Plans, thank you both.
Regarding meetings I have just received a notice for our upcoming AGM only to find that the minutes of last years AGM were never recorded by the Strata Manager and the agenda sent for consideration is that for the 2017- 2018 AGM not an agenda for 2019. I have been advised that if I have any concerns I can bring that up in general business. Where do we stand now? do we have to pass the 2018 agenda again , were the elected committee in 2018 legal ? Your thoughts on this please .
