Thank you Amanda, good advice.
how do strata committees cover themselves when they hold secret meetings, get lots of secret things done like CCTV installed, works on common property – but nothing is recorded in minutes or even meetings held. I mean its works on common property and spending huge $$ but nothing recorded for it?
Hi Zlata, it sounds like you have a dysfunctional committee (and, perhaps, owners corporation). It is open to you to seek the intervention of the Tribunal.
I agree with Ziata, that the System is Corrupt so we need a new system where we have a Regulator who works for All instead of a Few by investigating our complains instead of ignoring them.
I am an owner in a unit in Sydney’s inner west.
I have an allocated lock up car space garage.
I no longer have a car. I would like to rent this car space out.
What are my rights?
Hi Sara, you need to have a look at the by-laws applying to your building. Are there any restrictions on that kind of activity? If you do rent your space to a non-resident, that person will need a key. Are there restrictions on non-residents holding keys? If there are no restrictions in the by-laws, then you are probably on safe ground to rent out your space.
