HI Amanda,
Our SC/OC refuses to maintain common property, in particular, the marking of parking lines & unit numbers within the car space. Can I (owner) post the job on Airtasker and pay to have it done myself?
There’s a car space either side of mine and both tenants would like lines marked. Also, at some point in the future, I wish to lease my car space.
Regards,
Dee.

Legally, no you can’t.
A lot owner can’t add to, alter, improve, enhance, change the external appearance of the common property without the approval of the Owners Corporation.
Practically? Is anyone going to criticise you? Sounds like you’re not planning to seek reimbursement, so assuming the job is done well and you’re confident everyone wants it done, there may be no actual harm in going ahead.
Just know that you don’t have the protection of the law with this one.
Amanda.
