    Dear Amanda

In the search for running a more efficient strata management agency I am seeking you, Rena’s, or your members input regarding a few administrative matters.

    1. Minute books – Is there electronic software available that will securely keep the minutes of the strata scheme in place of a hard copy minute book?  ie That will keep minutes that cannot be deleted and has as system for tracking track amendments if they are made at the next meeting when being confirmed.  I have come across managers that no longer use paper minute books and just file the pdf in Microsoft Office.  While this is an easy solution I doubt that it is best practice.   What does Rena do?

    2. Emails – Is there software out there that will make the management and storage of the hundreds of emails received and sent each week more efficient?

    3.  Are there any strata managers out there that love their software and if so what is that software?  What does Rena use?

I really appreciate any advice or input you, Rena, or your other strata manager members have to offer.

    Thank you.

    Hi Strataland,

A lot of strata management companies use a product called Strata Master, which does all of what you have described (and more).

There’s another product called StrataMax too. We used to use it many years ago but made the switch to Strata Master so I’m not sure about how it goes these days.

If anyone is still using hard copy minute books they are wasting their time! It’s 2021!

    Hi ts1904

Thank you for your input. We too are a previous user of StrataMax and changed many years ago.  I will contact both StrataMax and Strata Master for a demonstration.

Point taken about the minute books hence the query for a secure program that can act in the place of a minutes book, that does not allow minutes to be deleted and is able to track amendments made at the next meeting.

    Hi Strataland,

I know Reena won’t mind me telling you: she uses StrataMax.

A good topic for a podcast/Friday live. Shall add it to the list 🙂
