Drowning is a leading cause of preventable death in children under 5 years of age, and many strata schemes in NSW have pools that do not comply with legislative requirements.
This eBook tells you what those requirements are. It details the process, introduced in 2012, of registering your swimming pool with the local council, and explains when it needs to be inspected by an authorised officer. Very recent changes to the law are summarised, with both owners corporations’ and lot owners’ obligations explained.
