This week, I have the pleasure of Mark Atkinson’s company. The director of Atkinson Legal in Western Australia, Mark has been at the forefront of strata law reform in the state – a massive 24-year undertaking. Amendments to the Strata Titles Act 1985 (WA) commenced on 1 May 2020. Mark summarises the key changes for us and shares his predictions for how the new law will directly impact the management of WA strata buildings.

  1. Can resolution to change roof and gutters in a four strata complex be passed if one owner does not agree

    1. Dear Deb,

      Thank you for your comment.

Unfortunately, WA strata law is not my area of expertise (nor am I qualified to practise in that jurisdiction) and so I hesitate to provide the guidance you seek.

I assume, however, that this is a relatively straightforward question that a lawyer practising in WA could answer for you.

I suggest you send an email to Mark Atkinson (my guest expert in the podcast above) with your question and I am hopeful he/his team will be able to assist you.

      Mark’s email address is marka@atkinsonlegal.com.au
