Regarding access to legal advice: wouldn’t all owners knowing the legal advice stop much of the escalation in strata buildings?
I have heard Kareem interviewed on the podcasts a couple of times over the years.his podcasts are very interesting, practical and accessible. Apart from Kareem’s strategic information, I found the discussion of Kobode VERY interesting. A central repository that’s easy for owners to access is such a great tool – our managing agent has one but I’m not sure that it is very user friendly.
The multi faceted (and purposed) Kobode interests me greatly. I intend to explore this further. I don’t see it as a replacement for the facility provided by our Agent, but I do see it as a great bundle of benefit that could be offered by our OC – Kareem how can I contact you?
No amount of transparency gives the non financial relief from not being involved in the decision making and as KT says this lack of “voice” is a problem some owners have with strata; whether this inability to be involved comes from the secret squirrel agenda or the legislation disenfranchising it is a problem.
Record searches “it is not landing”; why?
Because you are dealing with idiots to try to get it to land is one answer.
To actually give a reasonable level of credibility and usefulness to FT undermines the credibility of those who think FT are functional and or genuinely useful.
KT says you get reasonable outcomes if you treat people reasonably.
You can have the most rational and reasonable presentation in relation to searches yet here we are “1000 years” on and still FT refuse to resolve search issue.
You need to look at the people involved and start at the top because that is where the buck stop.
If you aren’t prepared to point the finger at the system then no wonder this thing never lands.
