AS1851 is now being enforced in NSW. Is it going to cost your building a fortune?

Not necessarily.

This week, I’m joined by Dominic Dodwell of Valen Project Services to unpack:

• What fire safety testing is now required
• Why expensive upgrades are not necessary
• How to get an $85K quote down to $20K

and more

  1. Hello,
I am a communications officer with Building Commission NSW.
In the Links Mentioned above, could the last dot point be change to:

    – Building Commission NSW website guidance on AS 1851-2012: (link is correct).

The two changes are that Building Commission NSW is the regulator for residential construction and specialist trades in NSW.
Also, the Australian Standard that is coming into effect in NSW is the 2012 version, so it would be more accurate to say AS 1851-2012.

    Kind regards

    David

    1. Hi David,

Thanks for the clarification. We’ve updated the wording to reference Building Commission NSW website guidance on AS 1851-2012. Appreciate you flagging this.
