This week, Reena and I discuss the little known way for judgment creditors to efficiently recover debts from owners corporations. I explain the difference between a “by-law review” and a “by-law consolidation” and also share SCA’s helpful feedback on best practice for their standard form agency agreements.

  1. Thanks Amanda and Reena! Great to hear the clarification re the agency agreement and the flexibility to amend terms or add terms. One question I have is when a plan’s management fee is based on the commissions received from insurances etc being paid to the strata management agency and if that Strata plan goes to another insurance broker so the commissions no longer come to the Strata managing agency wouldn’t this entitle the Strata managing agent to review the management fee before the annual review period?

Would love some discussion about the SCA management agreement
